Establishing an Effective Drainage System

CS Plumbing developed and implemented a gravity-fed French drain system tailored to capture and redirect water before it could reach the home’s foundation.

The project comprised several crucial elements:

A French drain system meticulously engineered to collect surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, directing it through gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe extending from the pit to the kerb, featuring strategically drilled holes to ensure effective discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replacing the smaller original pipes, connected to new 100mm PVC piping leading to the kerb.
A retaining wall system constructed along the boundary, utilising concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes drilled using an excavator to create a robust barrier that prevents the adjacent yard from encroaching.
Efficient on-site soil removal carried out with a dumper to streamline site management.
